Agriturismo Alle Baite was founded in 2010 in Branzi, at about 800 meters above sea level.
Alex and Roberta, driven by their love for these mountains and their passion for animals, restored a long-abandoned area.
Where there once stood an old baitù (a former cowshed traditionally used during summer transhumance) and several small 19th-century stone-and-wood mountain huts, there is now a small village offering:
a farm restaurant in the main building
9 rooms located in the nearby huts
a SPA for exclusive use, reserved for agriturismo guests
a mini dairy where we process our own goat’s milk
a farm shop selling our products
The renovation respected traditional local building techniques, favoring materials such as piòde (local slate slabs typical of Branzi) for the roofs, conifer wood for the interior furnishings, and locally sourced stone, hand-worked in the traditional way, for the perimeter walls.
Renewable Energy
On our farm we reuse wood obtained from the maintenance of our forests to fuel a biomass boiler (wood chips), which provides heating and hot water for the entire property.
In addition, the roofs of the huts are equipped with a 30 kW photovoltaic system, allowing us to be energy self-sufficient—benefiting not only us, but above all the environment in which we have chosen to live.
